Actionable Insights
From our chat, here’s what resonated about
what makes a Chief of Staff Education effective - and where my experience aligns...
PRIORITIES
Center the Principal. Support the team. Plug into People Business Partners & the CoS ecosystem while maintaining a balance of both transparent independence and efficient collaboration.
For over 25 years, my work has focused on careers - supporting the growth and success of others. As both a workforce professional and Chief of Staff, I bring a unique ability to understand the roles around me, operate effectively within them, and advance others (from entry-level talent to executive leadership), with a particular commitment to supporting the growth of women.
ROB
I honor stability while promoting creativity and innovation. Observe. Assess. Enhance what works. Massage what doesn't.
As an inaugural Chief of Staff, trained by a former CHRO and CoS, I learned to minimize disruption and optimize enhancements. I lead with observation and relationship-building first—then assess, seek understanding, ask the right questions, invite others to reimagine together, and introduce thoughtful, iterative solutions. I’ve applied this approach to maintain products yet reimagine their positioning and timelines from slow, static PDFs to a fast, dynamic, web-based experience.
ALIGNMENT
Create alignment and safety by valuing people, building trusting relationships, fostering innovation, & upholding accountability.
In my current role, I oversee employee relations and my org supports talent acquisition professionals - so I've developed incredible people management acuity. I regularly engage with and present to HR practitioners (including SHRM audiences) and have held multiple HR-adjacent roles including in faculty affairs and professional development. These experiences allow me to navigate people dynamics with discretion and insight - understanding motivations, behaviors, and emotions in ways that strengthen alignment, trust, and execution.

Philosophy
Freedom to imagine.
Grace to change.
Safety to try.
Strength to fail (or triumph).
